Roasted Garlic Vegan Cheese Fritters with just 5 ingredients made in only 3 easy steps. Based on chickpeas, these fritters are vegan, gluten free, addictive and so delicious.
There are some things if you live a plant based lifestyle that aren’t super easy. I have to admit before going vegan I was a cheese lover. But when I started toying with the idea to turn my back on dairy, it was not a easy decision.
And the decision was made more complicated simply because I had no plan what to do and what I could eat and enjoy.
If you are interested for the reason why I was going vegan read more about that here on the page “About Contentedness Cooking”
When I was a child, I was totally into fritters. So as a childhood memory for me, I kept thinking back to my parents making them often. Of course, mostly with cheese, eggs, sour creme, and sometimes with bacon…
But when I went vegan, I finally had to abandon my fritters love. Or so I thought for some time.
Some habits die hard, however. So I just had to find a solution for me to come back to these days, but in a healthier plant based way. I can happily confirm the sad time during which I had to miss this food is over.
Just because I’m vegan doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy cheese fritters.
Hands up, friends, are you ready for the most incredibly Vegan Cheese Fritters on the planet? No joke, or magic with just 5 ingredients and 3 easy steps you can make these Roasted Garlic Vegan Cheese Fritters in your own kitchen.
Let’s start with the leek. Wash and chop it into fine bits, then fry it together with the peeled garlic cloves in a tiny bit of oil in a small saucepan. If you want to make this oil free, use a bit of vegetable broth instead.
When done, give chickpeas, nutritional yeast, garlic, vegan parmesan, salt, and pepper (to taste) into the bowl of a food processor or blender. Blend until all is well combined but not too smooth – leave some texture.
Finally, combine leek with the chickpea mixture in a bowl and form small fritters with your hands. As always you can fry them or simply bake them at 400° F for around 15 minutes, done.
I have to say I could eat these Fritters almost every day, they turned out so damn delicious and full of flavor.
Really, friends if you struggle with the thought to miss cheese often, no worries these are the best Cheese Fritters you ever made – the only ones you need.
I hope you all will love these Roasted Garlic Vegan Cheese Fritters as much as I do.
These are flavorful, easy, tasty, cheesy, hearty, garlicky and so delicious. Delicious on their own – just serve them with Veganaise, or my homemade Vegan Cheese Sauce.
If you want to make a full meal, I suggest combining these with some salad leaves, use them in wraps or just in between just two slices of hearty bread.
Countless possibilities, more deliciousness just for you. Less effort, more options, good deal friends. So enjoy and build your own dream.

I LOVE all that garlic you added to these Florian! That is what I am talking about..bring on the garlic and cheesy flavor. These look sooo good. Simple and delicious. I love chickpeas in falafel and fritters like this, so I know these would be great on their own or even as a "burger" with some yummy sauce on top! Such a great recipe!

Chick pea fritters with a few herbs and spices become falafel, one of my favorite foods. I never think of them as vegan or not - just plain delicious! Bet this version is as well.
