Pizza in a Bowl

Pizza in a Bowl has all the flavors that you adore from pizza, but is crustless and definitely low carb. It comes together really fast, made with tomato sauce, mushrooms, vegan pepperoni and baked to cheesy perfection with mozzarella plus parmesan. This easy Pizza in a Bowl will devoured in no time from your whole family, because who does say no to pizza?

What you need for this Pizza in a Bowl recipe

  • Vegan ground beef
  • Olive oil
  • Tomato sauce
  • Garlic
  • Onions

 

  • Smoked paprika
  • Oregano
  • Vegan pepperoni
  • Mushrooms
  • Vegan mozzarella, parmesan

Vegan mozzarella and vegan parmesan are mixed in a small bowl. A casserole dish is layered with marinara.

How to make Pizza in a Bowl

Preheat oven to 390°F and set a 10×10 inch round casserole dish.

In a pan, heat olive oil, then add onions and garlic. Fry for about 3 minutes and give the vegan ground beef to the pan. Continue frying until it starts to brown. 

Add mushrooms and the smoked paprika and oregano. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper and cook for at least 3 minutes until the mushrooms become soft. Stir in half of the vegan pepperoni and remove from heat.

Mix parmesan and mozzarella in a small bowl.

On the bottom of your casserole dish, spread 1/3 cup of tomato sauce, followed by a third of the vegan ground beef and pepperoni mix, and a third of the cheeses.

Repeat two more times until everything is used, except for the last third of the cheese mix.

Finally, top with the remaining pepperoni and then add the reserved cheese. 

Bake the Pizza in a Bowl in the oven for about 15 minutes.

Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for around 4 days.

  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 3 oz vegan pepperoni
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 5 oz vegan mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup vegan parmesan
  • salt, pepper to taste

sorry just saw this now will be making this soon i love pizza and mushrooms soooooooooooo much i never had pizza in a bowl before perfect for my after office meals after this i will be taking a break from commenting on your recipes until my birthday on 19 September will dm you if i make this and let you know how it goes Thanks Ramya
