Reasons to make this Peri Peri Sauce

It is really versatile: dipping sauce, marinade and whenever you need flavor just with the right amount of flavor and taste like you can expect from my Nashville Hot Sauce, Creamy Jalapeno Sauce, Chipotle Sauce, Cajun Sauce, or Bang Bang Sauce

Peri Peri Sauce is made in a food processor, but a blender will work as well. All comes together in 5 minutes and is everything you love and want.

It is a complex sauce which you can make so easy and cheap at home.

What you need Peri Peri Sauce Recipe

Here are the Peri Peri sauce ingredients and let me tell you everything is made most of pantry staples:

We start with red chilis for a great, complex and spicy flavor, and combine them with roasted red peppers: I use a jar of roasted red peppers to save a good amount of time. If you have the time to roast them, do the following: preheat oven to 410F. Layer peppers on a baking sheet and bake them for around 40 minutes. Wait until they cool off and then remove skins and seeds.

Tomato paste adds a deep and robust flavor which goes well with all the other flavors and ingredients.

Smoked paprika, garlic and onions are essential for great flavor and I use red onions.

Olive oil, lemon juice, zest, vinegar and oregano: all of them give an amazing tang to our sauce, but to contrast that we need a little bit of sugar which adds a wonderful sweet hint. You can use of course any sweetener that you prefer, like honey or maple.

Let’s see how to use this Peri Peri Sauce to marinate chicken, and I use vegan chicken all the time.

Give chicken filets into a bowl, or a Ziploc bag. Add sauce and let everything sit for around 10 minutes so the chicken can absorb the flavors greatly. And like that, you have Peri Peri Chicken as you can see in my step by step pictures.

Also you can use veggies, tofu or tempeh. This sauce is made for so many things and great to have on hand.
