Bacon and peas are a great combination. The texture from peas gives a great pop to any dishes and the mild, slightly creamy flavors are really good together.

Peas really lets any dish bloom and it is an easy way to add something fresh. Combine with bacon bites for an amazing savory flavor and I tell you it doesn’t need any more to make a easy weeknight meal.

Reasons to make Pea Pasta

Everything comes together in under 15 minutes.

Creamy, satisfying and cheesy. A pasta that can check all boxes in no time.

A dish for picky eaters. If you have someone that won’t eat most things, I can vouch this is the pasta recipe that will go on repeat mill high.

A sauce that is so easy: stir and mix. Does it get any easier and better than this? I’m not sure. 😊

What you need for this Pea Pasta recipe

Any pasta that you like: fettuccini, spaghetti, bowtie, penne – everything is great on here.

Peas are  great for texture, color and make this pasta an eye catcher. I use frozen peas, but you can go for fresh peas. Know that you need extra time to soak them up and cooking.

Dairy free cream cheese and oat milk make a great creamy sauce, rich and so good. These are ingredients that I use often to make sauces like in my Creamy Mac and Cheese.

Bacon bites are naturally vegan. Otherwise  you will find real bacon bites on the package.

Garlic and shallots: both of them add great flavor and the shallots are here for an aromatic and milder flavor. Like you would exepct in a fine dinning experience.

Olive oil adds great savory flavor and I cook my bacon bites, shallots and garlic in it, yummy.

Vegan parmesan is always great for a wonderful cheesy flavor.

Precooked pasta is given to the pan with the sauce.
