How to cook pasta
Cooking pasta isn’t something new to you, I bet.
But I find when checking the manufacturer’s directions, the given times sometimes tend a bit on the long side.
I prefer my pasta more al dente than totally overcooked.
This depends of course on your own preferences. So check the pasta close slightly before the end of the suggested cooking time.
That’s always the way how to cook pasta perfectly.
How to make broccoli
There are many methods to make broccoli. You can steam, fry, roast or bake it.
I tried all of them for this Lemon Broccoli Pasta and found that frying is the way to go. The broccoli then has just the right texture with a nice crunch.
It’s a result which I can’t achieve with steaming or boiling it.
Today’s new pasta recipe is a really simple dish which really lives from it’s flavors.
So I highly recommend frying the broccoli to not miss out on anything.
If you want to avoid using oil, I know I always say you can use vegetable broth for cooking without oil. This time please don’t use vegetable broth.
This will definitely not turn out as delicious as it does with a touch of oil.
I used olive oil and only 3 tsp of it. So it’s just a little amount of oil for frying, but enough to get that right texture.
How to saute broccoli
This is how to make broccoli taste good, I fry mine for around 6 minutes, and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Just before serving make the broccoli. Heat 3 tsp olive oil in a pan, add broccoli florets, and fry for 5 minutes. Enjoy.
