Seriously, I can’t get enough of easy pasta recipes.

Give me some Chickpea Pasta or Pea Pasta, a plate full of Tuscan Chicken Pasta or Creamy Tomato Pasta, and bowls filled with Lemon Pasta or the Creamy Mushroom Pasta and I will happily munch away.

These are always on my menu and this Garlic Pasta is just exceptionally simple and delicious at the same time.

What you need for this Garlic Pasta recipe

Wondering what type of pasta to choose? This recipe works with any pasta, but my personal favorites are long ones such as spaghetti, linguini, angel hair, or bucatini.

That we are adding garlic to this is no surprise. It is why this pasta is so delicious. I peel my garlic and cut the cloves into thin slices, because this makes the texture so good and flavorful.

What makes this pasta outstanding is the rich flavor from the non-dairy butter and the intense, savory flavor of olive oil. A combination making the pasta rich and light together, yummy.

Basil and parsley both adds tons of flavors and freshness. Two ingredients that can really take your pasta to the next level. And they look stunning as well.

Finally, a hint of spiciness comes from chili flakes

How to make Garlic Pasta

Preparation of Garlic Pasta is as I mentioned super easy. You start with cooking your favorite pasta according to the package directions. If you have some leftover pasta, that’s great as well!

While the pasta is cooking, it’s time to prepare the garlic. Peel the cloves, then slice them thinly. Also chop up the basil and parsley.

Next, get a large frying pan and heat butter and olive oil in it. Once it’s hot, add the garlic slices and reduce heat a little bit. Fry the garlic until it just begins to brown, should be around 3 minutes.

Now is the time to give the drained pasta into the pan, together with chili flakes and a pinch of salt and pepper. Combine everything well.

Finally mix with the fresh basil and parsley, and you are ready to serve Garlic Pasta.

Tips and tricks for best results

When you use leftover pasta, it’s ok to use some that you prepared 2 days in advance. With this, this dish is ready in less than 10 minutes.

I can imagine Garlic Pasta will be delicious with a bit of Vegan Parmesan Cheese

You can use more basil or parsley, but in my gusto the amounts given in the recipe card are spot on.

Should you have leftovers, they are good for 5 days. Delicious cold or warm.

Notes

  • Leftovers of Garlic Pasta are great for 5 days. Just store in a closed container in the fridge.
  • You use leftover pasta that was made up to 2 days in advance.
  • Use more basil or parsley acording to your preferences. In my gusto, the amounts given above are spot on.
  • You may want to play around a bit with the amount of chili flakes. Use a little less for a milder, more kids-friendly version, or more for a spicy variant if you are brave.
