How to make deep Fried Pickles

Drain the pickles, and dry them: lay them out on a paper towel then put another sheet on top and gently press so that excess liquid is absorbed.

Next, give 1/2 cup of flour to a large bowl. Add the pickles and shake until they are lightly coated.

In another bowl mix coconut milk with remaining cup of flour, garlic and onion powder until you have a batter. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.

The bread-crumb covered pickle slices are collected on a white plate.

Add pickles to that bowl and mix until they are fully coated and transfer them to another bowl with bread crumbs.

Heat oil in a pan and fry the pickle slices in hot oil for around 3 minutes until they are golden and crispy.

These Fried Pickles should always served hot right from the pan, so leftovers aren’t are a thing.

Air fryer pickles

You can also use an air fryer for the preparation.

To do that follow all steps above, grease a tray of your air fryer basket and place pickles.

Spray them with some oil or cooking spray and cook for 8 minutes, now turn them again 8 minutes until crispy and browned. If pickles aren’t crispy the way you want, repeat for around 2 minutes more from each side.
