Who does not love cabbage? Honestly, there have been times when I haven’t been a big fan of this vegetable, but only until I gave it another shot with my Cabbage Roll Casserole or my Cabbage Roll Soup.

How to make Fried Cabbage
In a pan, heat olive oil. Add onions, garlic, and bacon bites. Cook for around 2 minutes.
Add now cabbage, mustard, smoked paprika, and season with a pinch of salt and pepper and cook for 5 minutes more until cabbage is tender. Make sure that you don’t overcook it. Serve and enjoy.
Leftovers are good in the fridge for around 5 days. For freezing store in airtight containers. With a lid on top the Fried Cabbage will last for 2 months.
Tips and tricks:
If you are looking for a tangy flavor, you can add 1-2 Tbsp white vinegar to the Fried Cabbage.
Instead of brown sugar, maple is also really delicious.
For bacon bites, vegan sausage will be great as well.
Umami: add a splash tamari, which goes really well with the other ingredients.

- 7 oz vegan bacon
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 14 oz Cabbage, chopped
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup onions, diced
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp mustard
- salt, pepper to taste
