Dill Sauce

Dill Sauce is made with amazing ingredients like lemon juice, fresh dill, and garlic. Once you try you know it is not only a dill sauce for salmon, but you can easily serve it with everything else, such as falafel. It comes together easily at home in under 5 minutes and will make your tastebuds happy any time.

Typically you will find sour cream and mayo in a dill sauce recipe which is absolutely delicious.

However, I use yoghurt (non dairy) and tahini instead for richness and creaminess. These two ingredients make everything creamy, rich and add lots of wonderful flavors.

At the same time it makes everything so versatile as I said above it is not only a dill sauce for salmon, yet you can absolutely use it for everything whatever might float your boat.

Ingredients needed to make Dill Sauce are collected before preparation.

Reasons to love this Dill Sauce

Takes under 5 minutes to make, but the result tastes like in you eat in an amazing restaurant.

A really fresh sauce, because lemon juice, yoghurt and of course dill really make the final result up.

I can tell this might be the just the best sauce for everything you can think of.

Look at my step by step pictures: I like to serve everything up with salmon (I use plant based, but will work with any you like for sure). This is a classic pair which tastes anytime wonderful. Therefore I go further with my imagination and serve secondly up with falafel and bread, so good.

What you need for this Dill Sauce recipe

Yoghurt: This is our base that provides creaminess and a great texture.

Tahini adds another savory flavor and richness to our sauce. It really gives everything an amazing creamy texture.

Dill is amazing fresh with flavor like you can also find in my Ranch Dip, Greek Salad or Dumpling Soup

Garlic, lemon juice and olive oil: All of them are here for adding flavor.

Garlic is always delicious, whenever I want to add flavor I will turn of course to garlic.

Adding lemon juice provides an amazing tang and along with olive oil it adds another layering of savory flavor in no time.

Tips and tricks

Not a fan of tahini? Just use mayo in the same amount.

For an extra tang you can add mustard, but I find the sauce amazing as it is.

This Dill Sauce is also delicious with Greek Lemon Potatoes or Mujadara.
