When it comes to chili recipes I can dearly say I love them all, like the Chipotle Chili, Texas Chili, or the Vegetarian White Chili.

This Chili Cheese Fries are no exception and here are the reasons why you should make them:

It is truly an amazing combination from fries and simple chili that tastes so good that it belongs in a great restaurant.

A really budget friendly recipe that you can easily make in a bigger batch.

You can use any fries that you like and want.

Ingredients needed for making Chili Cheese Fries are collected before preparation.

What you need for this Chili Cheese Fries recipe

I use pantry staples so it is really easy to prepare, but big in flavor.

Fries: I use frozen, because that will save a good amount of time. I bake them right before, but you can easily make ahead of time the night before. You will bake the fries, chili and cheese on top to get them hot and crispy again.

Oil: you can use a milder or olive oil that is a matter of preference.

Onions and garlic: these both infuse our chili with lots of amazing flavors.

Black beans: I use canned, again I like these are really inexpensive and save me time.

Tomato paste and sauce: I like to use them both. The sauce is a great base for chili and the paste intensifies the flavors.

Chili powder, smoked paprika and cumin: I tested a lot in and out what to add to our chili and to prove it can be really simple. This is the most amazing combo of seasonings which tastes so good.

Cheddar: I top my chili cheese fries with vegan cheddar and bake them until melted. Wow, so good and delicious flavor.

Tips and tricks

These Chili Cheese Fries are a dish that you should serve always immediately. I find leftovers are ok, but really best is fresh.

You can serve this as it is or with avocado slices on top, with cilantro, green onions, sour cream or anything that you like.

If you have leftover fries, you can use them from the day before.

The chili can also be make ahead around 2 days before. You have everything ready and will save even more time. Dump everything into your casserole, bake and enjoy.
