Tips and tricks

Always make sure the oil is hot when frying. Only this way you will get the best results.

Baked cauliflower: you can make a oven version. For this preheat oven to 425°F and after marinating the cauliflower use a bit oil on top, but honestly the result will be different.

It will work but the result will not be as crispy and texture perfect which you only can reach with frying.

This Bang Bang Cauliflower recipe is 100% vegan.

Can I made these in a air fryer? I haven’t tried that because I don’t own an air fryer myself, but I would say why not. I heard that all the time you can achieve crispy results with an air fryer as well. Let me know how it goes, can’t wait for your feedback guys.

Can I freeze this? I wouldn’t recommend it, because it will get mushy and you’ve never get the texture right.

But instead you can make them ahead and store them in the fridge for around 3 days covered and fry later.

Delicious - easy too! Making ‘bang bang sauce’ was simple - I used half Greek yoghurt and half mayo due to what was available in my house. Definitely making again- huge thanks for sharing this recipe. PS - works great in air fryer 👍

If you use the bread crumbs do you mis the bread crumbs right in the liquid and then roll the cauliflower in it? Or do you roll the cauliflower in the sauce and then in the breadcrumbs?

Hi Marianne! But will work, but second option is better. Hope that helps.

Made this and it was amazing! Thank you!! I'm not vegan so I just used regular mayo but other than that I followed the recipe exactly and with bread crumb version. I tried both deep frying and air fryer method and liked the air fryer more!! Mostly because I think my oil was not hot enough for 2nd batch and all my breading dissolved so it wasted some food and it was just a hot process that made my apartment smell of oil for a few days. Air fryer was faster, less messy and just as crispy! I think I cooked at 390 for about 10 min or so. Thank you!!
