Reasons to love these Burger Wraps
It has the best from burgers and wraps.
Burger Wraps are simply great for entertaining, hosting, picnics or any party you can think of.
This is a very, very flexible recipe, because once you know the basics you can add whatever you like.
For the filling, I use condiments like mayo, ketchup and mustard, because I find these are so delicious for a classic combination. As an alternative, you can also use my Burger Sauce if you are looking for a complete sauce.
You can crumble or chop your burger patties. Makes an amazing texture anyways, friends.
What you need for this Burger Wraps recipe
Burger patties: Vegan burger patties is what I use, but you can use whatever you want. I buy mine at the supermarket to save time, yet you can absolutely make them homemade like my Hamburger Steaks – just leave out the onion gravy.
Truly a wonderful recipe for basic burgers. As I mentioned before you can crumble or chop them the way you like and want them. It doesn’t matter for the texture, because it will always turns out delicious.
Wraps: Here we go, use flour or corn tortillas. You can make bigger or smaller wraps.
Condiments: ketchup, mustard an egg free mayo are the condiments that I use. These are wonderful sauces that you almost find in any burger. I keep it classic and simple all the way.
Onions and pickles: These are here for an amazing texture and crunch. Flavor wise pickles add a sweet hint to the wraps, but at the same time a bit of acid. Onions are full of flavor and a classic in burgers.
Dairy free cheese: shredded cheese is what I use, but you can use any variety or shred it yourself.
How to make Burger Wraps
The first step in making Burger Wraps is to cook the burger patties.
Take the patties and crumble them or chop them up into preferred size.
Heat up 1 Tbs of oil in a pan and cook them for around 4 minutes, then set them aside.
To assemble the wraps, lay out a tortilla and add some of the crumbled burger patties, followed by lettuce, onions, and pickles.
Next add condiments like mayo, mustard and ketchup and cheese. Fold the sides from your wraps and roll them up.
You can enjoy and serve Burger Wraps cold, but you can absolutely go further:
For a warm wrap
Heat up a skillet and cook your wraps for 2 minutes from each side until warm and crunchy. This way it tastes like a crunch wrap, but it so much easier to make.
Storing and leftovers
Leftovers are great for 3 days. You can reheat Burger Wraps in the oven on low temperature or in the microwave.
For freezing: wrap them individually in a zip lock bag or container. They will last for 6 months. You have them ready whenever you want and need. These are also great to make a bigger batch.
